or even 100 times, the battle of Hodov 100 hussars+300 armored against 40000 Tatars. The attack began, and the defenders were covered by a hail of Tatar arrows. The Poles responded with gunfire. When they ran out of bullets, they began to load their weapons with arrowheads from Tatar arrows taken from their own armor and fortifications. After several hours, the Tatars departed, almost all the defenders of Hodov were wounded, several dozen Poles were killed?! In turn, the battle itself has already become for contemporaries “Polish Thermopylae”. Mercenaries fighting on the Swedish side (Germans, Irish, etc. ) had in their contracts stipulated that if the Polish Chusaria entered the field they would not fight against the Poles, everyone knew that it could end only in one way. In the opinions of 17th-century observers, the hussars were the best and most beautiful cavalry in the world. It was envied by foreign monarchs and admired by foreigners. But it wasn't about armament, the Russians copied the hussars and to no avail, it was about valor. Gustavus II Adolphus in 1626 was to say, “Oh, if I had such a cavalry, with my infantry I would have camped in Constantinople that year!”. Charles X Gustav, on the other hand, reportedly expressed the following opinion in 1655: “If I had at least ten thousand such soldiers, I would expect to conquer not only Turkey, but the whole world easily.”
W pewnym okresie historii taka ciężka jednostka konna była świetna... szczegolnie przeciwko lekkej jeździe i piechocie... a tatarzy wlaśnie taką armią dysponowali.... ciężkie płytowe zbroje zatrzymywały strzały lekkej jazdy konnej Tatarów korzysztających z luków... i Husaria po prostu ich w zwarciu tratowała. (konie husarii też miały stalowe/zelazne osłony) W pewnym okresie taka ciężka konnica była poważną siłą.... później była bezwartościowa.... i raczej husaria czynila rolę "dekoracyjną" na dworze królewskim :D

According to some theories, the word slave comes from Slavic and comes from the times of Ancient Rome. Poles are Slavs and have never had colonies or slaves, because we remember when we were slaves. That is why in Poland slaves are not perceived as "worse people". Polish General Kościuszko, who fought for US independence, donated his fortune to free slaves because he considered it unworthy. That's why we have a big discussion in Poland about the word negro. In Poland it sounds "murzyn" and comes from "maur", meaning a dark-skinned Muslim. However, in translation he turns into a negro, which is a complete misunderstanding. We didn't have slaves, so no one associates blacks with slaves or "lesser people." On the contrary, "murzynek" is a delicious cake. Is it wrong to call a black woman "chocolate"? All because of mistranslation and misunderstanding of our culture and history. There were never blacks in Poland because no one imported slaves. During the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, there was one black jazz musician in Warsaw and he helped the insurgents. Can you imagine? One black in the city, or maybe in the whole country? And he was a celebrity artist.
